1. DIFFERENCES AMONG µPD17225, 17226, 17227, 17228 AND µPD17P228
µPD17P228 is equipped with PROM to which data can be written by the user instead of the internal mask ROM
(program memory) of the µPD17228.
Table 1-1 shows the differences between the µPD17225, 17226, 17227, 17228 and µPD17P228.
The differences among these five models are the program memory and mask option, and their CPU functions and
internal hardware are identical. Therefore, the µPD17P228 can be used to evaluate the program developed for the
µPD17225, 17226, 17227, and 17228 system. Note, however, that some of the electrical specifications such
as supply current and low-voltage detection voltage of the µPD17P228 are different from those of the
µPD17225, 17226, 17227, and 17228.
