General Description

SSD0858 is a single-chip CMOS 4 gray scale LCD driver with controller for liquid crystal dot-matrix

graphic display system. SSD0858 consists of 169 high voltage driving output pins for driving maximum 104

Segments, 64 Commons and 1 icon driving Commons. SSD0858 supports two display modes 96x65 or

104x65 by pin select.

SSD0858 displays data directly from its internal 104x65x2 bits Graphic Display Data RAM (GDDRAM).

Data/Commands are sent from general MCU through I2C Interface.

SSD0858 embeds a DC-DC Converter, a LCD Voltage Regulator, an On-Chip Bias Divider, Integrated

Bias Capacitors, Integrated Booster Capacitors and an On-Chip Oscillator, which reduce the number of

external components. With the special design on minimizing power consumption and die/package layout,

SSD0858 is suitable for any portable battery-driven applications requiring a long operation period and a

compact size.
